MYO Jewellery Private Limited (“Guyal,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) values your privacy. This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, and protect your information when you visit guyal.com (the “Site”) or interact with our ChatGPT-powered Assistant (the “App”).
1. Information We Collect
We collect information that identifies, relates to, or could reasonably be linked to you (“Personal Data”):
- Direct Identifiers: Name, shipping address, billing address, email address, and phone number.
- Conversational Data: When you use our ChatGPT Assistant, we process the text of your queries. Note: Guyal does not store these chat logs on its own servers; they are processed by OpenAI on our behalf.
- Online Identifiers: IP addresses, browser type, device information, and cookie identifiers collected via GA4 and Meta Pixel.
- Payment Information: Payment credentials are collected but processed directly by our third-party payment processors (Shopify Payments). Guyal does not store your full credit card details.
2. How We Use Your Data
We process your data for the following purposes:
- Order Fulfillment: Processing transactions, shipping jewellery, and providing order updates.
- Customer Support: Responding to inquiries made via our contact forms or ChatGPT Assistant.
- Marketing & Analytics: Improving our Site using Google Analytics 4 (GA4), Shopify Audiences, and retargeting ads via Meta Pixel.
- Legal Compliance: Meeting tax and accounting obligations in India.
3. Data Sharing & Recipients
We do not sell your personal data. We share data only with the following categories of service providers:
- Platform Provider: Shopify (Hosting and E-commerce infrastructure).
- AI Services: OpenAI (Processes conversational data to provide the Assistant’s responses).
- Analytics & Advertising: Google (GA4), Meta (Facebook/Instagram Pixel), and Shopify Audiences.
- Logistics: Third-party couriers for shipping your orders.
- 4. International Data Transfers
By using our services, you acknowledge that your Personal Data may be transferred to and processed in countries outside of India, specifically the United States and Canada, where our infrastructure providers (Shopify and OpenAI) are headquartered. We ensure these transfers comply with applicable Indian data protection laws.
5. Data Retention
We adhere to the following retention timelines:
- Order & Transaction Data: Retained for the duration of our business relationship and as required by Indian law for tax and audit purposes (typically 7+ years).
- Contact Form & Lead Data: Retained for 2 years from the last point of contact.
- Conversational Data: Chat logs are not persisted in Guyal’s internal databases.
- Cookies/Analytics: Managed according to the retention settings of GA4 and Meta (typically 14–26 months).
6. Your Rights & Controls
Under the DPDP Act and other global regulations, you have the following rights:
- Access & Portability: Request a copy of your data in a structured format.
- Correction & Deletion: Request that we rectify or erase your personal data.
- Marketing Opt-Out: You may opt out of marketing emails via the "Unsubscribe" link or by contacting us.
- Cookie Consent: You can manage or disable cookies via your browser settings.
Request Timeline: We commit to responding to and fulfilling valid data rights requests within 30 days.
